« Cœur de Reine » – 2020
Flower : Edelweiss
Language of flowers : Pur love
This composition using the “Layered Glass” technique is made with acrylic paint and rendered using a structuring and binding computer code:
Legend has it that a magnificent Queen lived on top of the high mountains. No pretender suited her permanently, so she threw them from the top of the cliffs. A simple shepherd knew how to conquer his heart, but alas, out of jealousy, the servants of the Queen got rid of it. It is said that the Queen’s tears were born from these soft flowers, rare and hidden between the ice and the rock. It is the symbol of purity.
- The flake is composed of the stages of the Koch Flake fractal. The deformation of the triangles is random in size.
- The mountain is based on the silhouette of Mont-Blanc deformed into sinusoidal sizes.
The top of the mountain has a random height, which makes it more or less visible through the snowflake.
- The Edelweiss is “hidden” in the hollow of the sinusoid, which requires an adjustment of the angle to see it.
Thus, the monotype represents an Edelweiss: Fine, soft, rare, fragile, naive in the middle of a raw and icy environment while forcing the spectator to seek it to appreciate it.
All the achievements are different and unique. This means that you will have one of this flower, not exactly the one pictured.
