« Présent du Roi » – 2020 (King gift)
Flower: Capucine / Nasturtium
Flower language: Fiery love
This composition using the “Layered Glass” technique is made with acrylic paint and rendered using a structuring and binding computer code:
History is that of history.
Nasturtium (Capucine) was imported from the Americas. It is said that Louis XIV gave it to Madame de Maintenon, his favorite nicknamed in court “Madame de Maintenant ” (Miss Now), who will later become his wife.
Its symbol is that of the intense ardor of love.
- The composition is of an nasturtium flower of an intense red with a random rotation. Its equation is that of a Cyclic-hamonic curve. The flower is rising so that the gaze falls through.
- The petals are treated in emeralds. There are a fixed number of 14 of which the largest at the base suggests a “marquise” cut of precious stone. Their placements and sizes are random with the only constraint of respecting a diagonal movement.
- There remain 5 buds which are arranged in a pentacle, like a crown. They are actually inverted Lilies.
Thus, the monotype represents an ardent, hypnotizing and affirmative nasturtium. An intense and royal declaration.
All the achievements are different and unique. This means that you will have one of this flower, not exactly the one pictured.
